Lab data
Ice Cream Cake potency: THC, CBD and terpenes from 2,489 lab tests
In 2,489 state lab tests, Ice Cream Cake flower had a median total THC of 22.17%, with the middle half of results between 19.85% and 24.70%.1 CBD is negligible, and β-caryophyllene and limonene lead the terpenes almost level, the same pair Leafly lists first.1,2

How published THC figures compare
Strain databases publish a single figure or a range: Leafly lists 22%, AllBud 20–25% and Weedmaps 20–28%.2,3,4 Breeder and seed-seller figures run from 19% for Zamnesia’s autoflower and 22% for its feminized version, through about 23% in SeedFinder’s entries for Seed Junky’s and Mad Scientist’s versions, to 27% for Barney’s Farm’s.5,6,7,8,9 In state lab results, 90% of Ice Cream Cake flower tested below 26.80%, so Barney’s Farm’s figure and the top of Weedmaps’ range describe the strongest tenth of flower rather than typical flower.1 The highest single result in our data was 36.72%.1
By state, the largest samples had medians of 21.73% in Maryland (803 tests), 23.68% in Nevada (719 tests) and 21.70% in Michigan (712 tests).1 In every year with at least 100 tests (2020–2023) the yearly median stayed between 21.88% and 22.54%.1 Leafly names caryophyllene as the dominant terpene, followed by limonene and linalool; in our data linalool comes fourth, at a median of 0.21%.1,2

Limits of this data
- Coverage is uneven. Maryland (803), Nevada (719), Michigan (712) and Washington (143) supply most of the 2,489 tests, which date from 2018 to 2024. Oregon and Rhode Island results carry no product names and could not be matched, so Oregon, where Ice Cream Cake topped Leafly’s 2025 orders, is missing.10
- Some labs report higher THC than others, so we publish medians and middle ranges rather than maxima. No single lab accounts for more than 13.5% of these tests (44 labs in total).
- Terpene medians come from 753 tests with individual terpene values, 718 of them from Nevada labs. Maryland reports only total terpenes (782 tests), and Michigan, Washington and Hawaii report none.
- We matched names strictly: crosses and near-miss names (335 results, for example "Ice Cream Cake x Lemon Tree Buds") are excluded and counted, and duplicate certificates are removed. Numbered labels such as "Ice Cream Cake #5" count as lot codes, so they are inside the sample.
